The #greenmapofAmsterdam

The #greenmapofAmsterdam

Help us crowdfund a unique and custom drawn map for everybody who loves Amsterdam. The very first green map of the Dutch capital is going to be made, showing all the green spaces and blue waters. Nature Desks - an initiative born in Amsterdam - has teamed up with Urban Good, the makers of the much acclaimed Green Map of London, which will be the first National Park City. Together we will create the unique Green Map of Amsterdam with all the outdoor spaces to live, work and play in.

It will be a cartographic paper map which pays tribute to the city we love. It is also the start of a dialogue about the importance of nature in the urban environment. Visualising the green - and the blue - you can use the map to see how and where the city can be made more green. And to explore the many ways in which the urban green of Amsterdam can be used by citizens, visitors and expats.

If  you’re not convinced yet please watch this video we made last week at the launch of the campaign with Daniel Raven-Ellison. He is the creative mind and campaigner behind London National Park City. Then there is Bennie Meek from Gewildgroei and Theun Karelse from Proeftuin Midwest. They all inspired us to create the first Green Map of Amsterdam.

In short: when you love #Amsterdam, the urban green and/ or beautifully crafted maps, please help us to realise the #greenmapofAmsterdam.
